Welcome to the dentistry of the 21st century! Dr. Adler is pleased to offer crowns made with CEREC™, a highly precise computer milling machine that makes crowns right in the office, in about an hour. No more temporaries, additional visits, or crowns that don't seem to fit right. Even though CEREC™ crowns are convenient and aesthetically desirable doesn't mean you have to give up function. These modern restorations dramatically reduce cracking, reducing the likelihood of needing future root canal treatment. Due to the custom design and precise fit, CEREC™ restorations are bonded to the tooth with the optimum strength available. We are pleased to be one of the first in our region to offer crowns with the CEREC™ machine.

For years, the silver-mercury amalgam was the standard filling material used in dental practices, and many practices still use it. Amalgams have certain shortcomings. Metal does not bond well to teeth so decay can and does eventually leak into the tooth. There's also a higher incidence of tooth fracture related to silver-mercury restorations.
